Jose and Maria Noel – Uruguay
Jan and Alan without any doubt were the best host we have ever had ! They are very kind, warm and friendly too! The house is perfect! Everything was very clean and nice. We had really spent great time together with Jan and Alan at a show in Paul McCartney’s old school, now LIPA .I haven’t any doubt that we will see them again. Absolutely recommended!!!!

We came to Liverpool to see a concert with John Cale which was fantastic and then sightseeing around Liverpool. There was so much to do and see in a short time. Lucky for us Liverpool city centre is very compact and you can get around easily. The beach and the 100 Iron Men are really worth a visit. I hope we can return soon.
Mariam, Matthew, Lucas and Jacob – Slovakia
We came to Liverpool for sightseeing and to watch Liverpool v Middlesbrough. Alan took us to Anfield for a tour of the new stadium and then the next day for the match. We had a great time and we cannot thank them enough for all their help. We are definitely keeping contact for our next trip.
Lorant and Zoltan – Budapest, Hungary
It was my dad’s birthday and he has always want to visit the home of The Beatle’s. We had an amazing time on The Beatle’s trail. Al and Jan really love music and the arts, so a couple of nights we had our own party as I am a professional musician in a band called LOCI JATSZIK in Budapest. They must come and visit us in Budapest so we can return their amazing hospitality.
Alessandro – Italy
We came to Liverpool for a long weekend and to watch Liverpool v Everton. We had an unbelievable time and Alan and Jan are such a friendly, helpful couple. They gave us so much advice and took us by car to the stadium and into the city. Everything was perfect.
Dominque – Germany
Alan and Jan were a wonderful host family, they have sincerely welcomed me, the room was super clean and they took great care to be as quiet as possible when they got up early in the morning.
The house is located in a very quiet environment and has a beautiful garden, which you can use. In the surrounding area, after a small walk the beach with an incredible art exhibition to be found The Iron Men.
Alan and Jan had lots of great maps and tips which you really helped me.I can’t believe how much I experienced of Liverpool. Happy memories

Irene, Alex, Adria and Uri – Barcelona, Spain
Myself and 3 friends visited Liverpool for just 48 hours at the weekend and we booked a tourist package with them. They met us at the airport and by car escorted us to all the attractions we wanted to see. They are very knowledgeable about all the attractions and also recommended various bars and restaurants. This saved us so much time and money we could never have seen so much in a short time. They are great fun to stay with and we miss them very much. We are planning to return for a week next time.

I stayed there for 4 nights and it was very comfortable, it was just like being at home . I wish I had the chance to stay longer. Very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was a wet room with a great shower, modern and there was ample storage. The living room space was homely and cosy. Alan really helped us to get around the city in the morning to places out of the way by public transport. We’d love to come and stay again.
Malcolm & Melinda – Australia
Alan & Jan are the most lovely couple you could come across. From the moment the door opens they make you feel right at home. The location is great, very close to the Bus stop and train station. There is even a quaint local community cinema and a large number of restaurants and takeaways within 15 min walking. On advice from Alan and Jan we travelled the short journey to Southport on the X2 bus the next day. So very glad we did it’s a lovely coastal Victorian town with the second longest pier in Britain. We went to a FREE concert “Africa Oye” in beautiful Sefton Park with Al and Jan. It was a real treat we didn’t expect to see.Alan and Jan really know what is going on in the city. They saved me a lot of time travelling and going to the best places at the best times. I would highly recommended them and I’d love to come back someday.
Jan has a green thumb and enjoys her garden. Alan has a wealth of local knowledge right down to the Bus timetables. The well kept garden has seating and a table for those sunny morning breakfasts and afternoon coffee’s. The room is large with a robe and desk. There are numerous power outlets for charging. The new extension Room 1 is private with a great wet room. Highly recommended place to stay. We hope we can return some day.

They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and show us around Liverpool. Would love to stay with them again if we have the chance to return to Liverpool!

We had a fantastic three-day trip in Liverpool. Alan and Jan are very warm-hearted and friendly. They give us lots of suggestions including transportation, food and attractive views. The house is clean and wonderful with fancy decorations and beautiful garden. The two bedrooms are cozy and large with soft beds. Overall, it is an unforgettable experience!
